Simone Kafetzis

Simone Kafetzis is a business analyst with over 20 years’ experience in small, medium and corporate companies. She tells us why she decided to join Escient.

How did you get into consulting?

I was thinking about a change – and I was looking for a company with a healthy work environment and culture. I found Escient and it just happened to be this wonderful consulting company!

What do you like about consulting?

I love that I can work in different industries and on different types of projects, that support my career direction. For the first time in my career, I don’t feel like anything is in my way to grow my skills as a business analyst, or to try a new role.

I love working with new people on site and building client relationships. I find that very rewarding.

Why did you choose Escient?

The job ad had more emphasis on their values than skills, and this clearly indicated to me that Escient put their people first. These values aligned with my work ethics perfectly. After meeting a few of the staff during the interviews, I could see Escient live by their values and that I was in good hands. Sometimes, you find companies claim that they have certain values, but they don’t follow through with their people.

What makes Escient different from other consulting firms?

Escient is different to most companies. I’ve learnt in my working career that good leadership starts from the top down. Our CEO is transparent, generous and always demonstrates the company values. Everyone has a voice, and health and wellbeing are a priority. I’ve never heard a CEO say thank you to his people as many times as Steve! This awesomeness filters down to the rest of the leaders and all the staff.

I always feel valued here, and never concerned about what conversations are happening behind closed doors.
